Meghan Evans is a clothing line for women, designed and manufactured in Washington, DC.

Meghan, a former lawyer, launched Meghan Evans, a clothing line for women, in 2017.

The brand specializes in pieces that transition seamlessly from client meetings to dinner and drinks with friends featuring unique fabric and flattering silhouettes that are classic yet feminine. Meghan offers both regular and tall sizes to ensure you get the perfect fit! Meghan designs each piece, sources the fabric, and works with a woman-owned small run production facility located in Washington, DC to produce the pieces in limited quantities. As such, everything is designed and manufactured in DC!

When she started the brand, she only offered tall sizes. I'm 5'10'' (admittedly on the shorter side of tall) with a really (really!) long torso. Given her long torso, she's struggled her entire life to find tops, dresses, blazers, and jackets that fit well.

Eventually, she became so frustrated by the lack of options, she started buying dresses that she knew were too short and turning them into tops. You can always hem something, right? She loved finding dresses with unique fabric, sleeve detail or pattern and making a one-of-a-kind top out of them. Her husband inevitably asked why she didn't just make tops that fit tall women to begin with, and that's where she got the idea to launch this clothing line.

But, after launching pieces in tall only sizes, she began to receive requests for "regular" sizes. The requests coupled with her own realization that her aesthetic doesn't really exist in the universe of ethically made clothing, prompted her to expand the size range to include both regular and tall sizes where appropriate.

She is also committed to producing quality items in an ethical manner. As such, She is critical when sourcing fabrics and trims and personally wash and wear all samples before they go into production. She also works with a local, Washington, DC company to sample and produce all pieces in my collection. This affords her the ability to be very involved in the production process to guarantee a great garment.
