It all started with a short course in makeup, which lead to a vocation in creativity and artistry that would soon become Effie’s profession for years to come.

From humble beginnings, her career led to work on fashion and beauty editorials, advertising, bespoke weddings, cosmetic retail and backstage at shows including MSFW and VAMFF. Effie’s work has been featured in several Australian and International Publications.

With over a decade of experience, she now has the professional freedom to run her own freelance business. From 2010.11 to 2016.2, she has been a color specialist in Mecca Brands. Since 2002, She has been a freelance makeup artist. Having developed many working relationships with photographers in both commercial and bridal areas this allows her to thrive wholesomely within the Industry. Now, she has become an educator in cosmetic since 2019.

Effie stays abreast of current trends and has had the privilege of receiving training by International Cosmetic brands such as NARS, Hourglass, Ellis Faas, Stila just to name a few. As an Educator at the Academy of Makeup, sharing her experiences and Industry knowledge has become a passion for Effie, allowing her to grow and encourage her students to thrive as she did and become their own artist.

She is passionate about making every client feel confident and runway ready for any occasion, using only the highest quality products to achieve beautiful concepts.

Effie offers complete services to both private and commercial clients, for all types of special events including bridal, editorial, photo shoots and film. She has featured at both Melbourne and Sydney Fashion Week and provided management for some of the world’s most iconic cosmetic houses.
