Melbourne based artist Mallysa Neeland took a lifelong obsession with transformation and used that to forge a highly successful career in the Make-up industry.

In the early years of her Make-up career, Mallysa gained valuable experience on film sets, theater, and the fast pased environment of Fashion Week in Melbourne and Sydney, she then took the chance to exercise her creativity whilst working on various photo shoots collaborating with different industry experts.

Eventually, Mallysa found her place in the industry and decided to focus her talent as a Make-up artist by specialising in bridal and glamour. She went on to create a highly successful professional beauty service called The Blush Project along with her business partner, specialising in both Make-up and hair styling for brides who wanted something fresh and unique for their wedding day.

Founded in 2007 by professional artists, Mallysa Neeland and Samii Salisbury, The Blush Project offers a team of diploma qualified makeup artists, hairdressers, and stylists, dedicated to providing a high standard of personalised service for every client. It is a complete mobile professional beauty service based in Melbourne, specialising in make-up and hair styling packages for all occasions. They understand that preparing for an event can be stressful. Their main purpose is to listen to their customers’ needs, so they can relax and feel beautiful for that special moment. With over a decade worth of experience across all facets of the industry, Mallysa developed a love for helping new artists to acquire their own skillsets, resulting in Mallysa working in a number of teaching and mentoring roles.
