With ten years’ experience of being a hair stylist, Elissa Wolfe is known in the industry for her vivid and pastel colours & modern cuts with classic shapes.

Originally from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Elissa knew from a young age that she wanted to move to a big city and pursue a career in fashion or creative arts. “From the age of five I started styling my friend’s hair at sleepovers; it was over! I knew it was something I was good at!” says Elissa.

Elissa followed her dream and enrolled in the Hair Art Design Program at JCI Institute. Elissa adds, “Two days after graduating from JCI I started working at Axis Hair Salons and after a few years I was asked to come shadow teach, and I continued to teach part-time for 8 years at JCI! I Loved every second of it !”.

She also received a creative cutting diploma from the world-renowned Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica and has been placed in the top 20 colorists in Canada in Wella’s International Trend Vision. Elissa is currently an Independent Professional Stylist at Workshop Salon and her goal is to travel the world and be consulting for hair companies globally and of course, cutting hair.

Her advice for any Hair Student in the industry is, “Say YES to everything. Never turn down an opportunity: it always leads to a pot of gold! I still donate my time to do hair for fun, I still take education and I still ask advice from fellow stylists! So always be learning; so, you’ll always be earning!
